I was sitting on that wonderful screened-in porch, petting my cats when I heard the strangest little noise. It wasn’t a bird. It wasn’t my little cat Muffin purring at me. I looked around, and there at the foot of the tree was a little squirrel, chattering away.
Here is the thing, I had no idea that squirrels made noise! How could I? My life was never quiet enough and I was never still enough to actually hear the squirrels, in my own back yard.
