Donna spent most of her career in the corporate sector. In her executive roles, she influenced and led global brand marketing efforts for companies such as Energizer, Cardinal Health, Ingersoll-Rand and others. Her first book on marketing, The Truth About Creating Brands People Love was published in 2008. Cancer and Her Award Winning Book
In 2010, Donna learned that she had Stage 3, Her-2 breast cancer just as she was beginning a new global marketing executive job. As she went through chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and radiation all while tackling a new position, she kept a blog of her many cancer experiences. Inspired to encourage other women to Be Radiant through cancer, her writings evolved into the book Living Like A Lady When You Have Cancer. She interviewed many other patients as well as medical providers for the book. As a result, the book features the tips and tricks you need to live radiantly despite a cancer diagnosis. She was honored when the book was recognized by the International Book Awards.
Supporting Her Community
Donna continues to be actively involved in her community and supports a number of organizations. She currently serves on the Board for the Daughter’s of St. Paul and the Board for the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research. Named by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the outstanding business leaders in St. Louis under the age of 40. Ms. Heckler has a B.A. in Zoology from DePauw University and an M.B.A. in Marketing from Indiana University.
